DLPNIRNANOEVM: saving files to SD card

In the standalone mode, my EVM writes only binary files(.dat) on the sd card(when I operate using the scan button on EVM). When I operate using Windows GUI/android app it writes both the binary and the CSV files(on computer/phone memory). I want the same in the standalone mode. How can I make it happen? I am using the EVM with TIVA flash version - 2.1.0, DLPC Flash version 2.0.0, Windows GUI version - 2.1.0.

As far as I am aware, the .CSV files are handled completely on the Windows/OS side. That is to say, the EVM has no knowledge of the .CSV files being processed. In order to add .CSV support you will probably need to add to the TIVA main source code to write files in .CSV format in addition to .DAT format.

What are you trying to do with this functionality? There may be a less invasive solution depending on your goal.

To add to Philippe's comment above, you could use the GUI to convert your .dat to .csv. See the utils tab of the GUI. Sceenshot shown below.

Hi Philip,

I am building my custom model for some material identification. I want to use the data in my code for prediction. Currently, I am using windows for the whole operation but I want to eliminate that. So, can you please provide me necessary parameters and module used in the GUI to convert that binary file to CSV file.

Hello Satbir,

The GUI is open source so please feel free to investigate how we preform the conversion. The file you will be looking for is utilstab.cpp and the function is where the conversion takes place is void MainWindow::on_pushButton_dat_to_csv_clicked(). I hope that helps!

I tried the tool, But it is not working for me as in every case it shows Unable to read file. Also In the folder where scans are saved there is an extra file named FACT_REF.DAT, How can i Get the tool to work for me.
