DLP6500 GUI version 2.0?

I recently purchased a DLP Lightcrafter 6500 evaluation module. When I received it, it hat two big warning stickers on the bag telling me that I need to install the GUI version 2.0 or later because version 1.1 will render the device inoperable. However, when I look on the website, I can only see version 1.1. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I have purchased a DLP LightCrafter 9000 evaluation module. Like Tori, the bar has two big warning stickers telling me not to use GUI Version 1.1. I was able to find version 3 (DLPLCr_FW_SW_v3.0_WIN_12_05_2013). What is the correct LightCrafter software version for the 6500 and 9000 EMs? I see a Version 2 of Light Crafter software here: www.ti.com/.../dlplcr4500evm

Version 3.0 is of different platform 1st LightCrafter platform DLP3000 DMD based.

Version 2.0 you are pointing is also different platform LightCrafter 4500.

We will be updating the LightCrafter 6500 / 9000 firmware v2.0 page, this is the pages you should look for

For GUI - www.ti.com/.../dlplcr6500evm v2.0 download link appear here

For Firmware - http://www.ti.com/tool/dlpr900 v2.0 link will be updated.

By the way the boards already come with v2.0 firmware in them.

Thanks for the response! Do you know approximately when v2.0 will be ready? I was expecting to use the device (with the software) as soon as I received it.

Great! Its disappointing that the availability of version 2.0 was not made public. I spent the better part of two days looking for it.

I apologize for the inconvenience. We are overcoming some technical difficulties in posting the GUI to the web. I will update the thread here when it becomes available.

Just to reiterate what Sanjeev (and the label on your EVM) has said, do not use GUI or firmware 1.1 (or earlier). Again, sorry for the inconvenience, we are making all reasonable effort to make the 2.0 version of the GUI and prom available as soon as we can.

I understand how difficult it is sometimes to get an update posted to a public website. Unfortunatly, I ran the Version 3 of the Ui against the 9000 (version 3 is higher than version 1.1 right?) and of course it did'nt work. Investigating further the DLP LED's do not light. See posting with title "DLP® LightCrafter™ 9000 Evaluation Module Power Up failure". How do I tell if my board has been compromised?

Hi Andrew,

I replied to your post on the thread you referenced. I am not sure what version you used, but at this date - while we are waiting for 2.0 to post, I can tell you that it was an earlier, or lower version of the GUI. I will provide information on compromised boards on your other thread.
