Hello, TI Experts,

Our customer bought DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2.

They want to know how to display with 120FPS HDMI Input Image.

Our trial procedure is as follows;

- 120FPS HDMI output image from Note-PC to the EVM.

- But we found "Frame rate:40.6Hz" in GUI.

(Please refer attached pdf.)

We would appreciate if you tell us how to set the GUI to display with 120FPS HDMI Input Image.

Hello,

Thanks for using the TI E2E forums. What you are seeing is correct. This is because the TI reference Firmware does not enable 120Hz.

"In general the DLP chipset supports a frame rate of 120Hz with a lower resolution of 1280x720".

So is there recommended way to display 120FPS HDMI Input Image such as a lower resolution?

We would appreciate if you tell us how to guide to our customer to display 120FPS HDMI Input Image.

Hello,

Yes as you can see, those threads indicate that the firmware that accompanies the 4710EVM only supports frame rates up to 60Hz. With some other configuration it can support higher frame rates, but with lower input resolution. This is due to a pixel clock limitation.
