Hi,

I've a loopback test code with digital filters in it. I've been running and testing using css and connecting boosterack in debug mode to laptop. Now i want to somehow push the code on to the boosterpack and run code in standalone like mode.

1) When i turn on the booster pack it should run that loopback test with digital filters automatically without using css or connecting to laptop at all

2) i'm very new to dsp and it would be a great help if you could provide a step by step detailed instructions on how to do it. Thanks

Hi V Pot,

After you have generated .out file via CCS you should convert it to binary (.bin) file using "hex55.exe" program. The you should program a boot image onto the board. You can find description about how to do this at:

Thanks for the reply

When you said boot image to board. Do you mean on to the sd card of boosterpack? Or is there any other memory on c5545 chip. If so how would i access it?

Because I’m gonna make a pcb with c5545dsp and aic3206. When i do that should i attach the sd card slot like boosterpack to store the boot image or is there some other memory on c5545dsp to do so?

Sorry for the delay.
c5545 gives several possible boot sources. It can boot from SPI EEPROM, SPI Serial Flash or I2C EEPROM eMMC, SD, SDHC, UART, and USB. When you make your own pcb you can add SD card slot for example.

Tsvetolin,

Adding sd slot would expose my code easily right? Anyone can break into it. So i was wondering is there any other memory on board with c5545 chip?

An other possible solution is to integrate SPI Serial Flash or EEPROM for example to your board.
