Affect of SCI pins on EPWM behaviour in TMS320f28335 controller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335

Hi all,

Here we are  facing some problem with SCI in TMS320f28335 controller. we have written some software to send data from PC to controller through SCI.

We are operating the pwm in synchronous pulse mode. i:e while counter in either up direction or down direction pwm state should chang based on the compare value

Problem is while we are sending the data through sci (without changing any data in the application just we click send button) PWM pulses are coming wrong. But at that time counter compare value is same as earlier(i:e, if compare value is same as earlier in the counter down direction the pwm state should change) and TimeBasecounter also with in the period limits but pulses are seems to be missing one pulse i:e, cintinuing in the same state as earlier.

we thought that the sci pins are affecting the PWM pheripheral performance while data is transferring. Is this true?

But that problem is not coming continuously. if we send the data 100 times once that problem is coming. But because of long pulses current is going beyond the protection limits though the voltage is less.

If any body know the answer please replly me.

 Thanks & regards
