TI-API: Trouble getting API keys for testing

Part Number: TI-API

We are an ISV developing an interface for our customer, a TI customer to place orders using the API.

We only need to create test orders, live orders will be created under their account in due course.

I've been through the steps documented to create an account to get API keys, but I do not see the option to get keys on my dashboard.

What am I missing?

  • Gary,

Can you confirm that you have created a "company" account and not a "personal" account?   You can tell the difference if you look at the top of the screen (after you login) and click on your name.  If you only see "myTI dashboard" then, you have a personal account (see first screen shot).  Otherwise, you should see the option to "Change account".  If you see this option, you can switch over to the "company" account.  Once there you should see the "Accounts Settings"optins, and that is where you can access the keys (second image).      If you are not able to access the administrator area, please check with your system administrator for assistance.   Let me know if this resolves your issue.

  • HI

thanks for the response. I can confirm that I only see My Dashboard & not Company.

But when I registered I did not see any option to select a company account and I entered company details where requested.

I do have a company linked to the checkout profile.

How might I go about creating a company account?

    regards

  • Hi Gary,

To register a company account go here.   Once you create the company account you will need to add your "personal" account as a member under the company account  (Company account --> Under "Account Settings -->Manage your team -->Invite team members).  This will allow you to toggle between your personal account (placing orders that only you can see) and the company account (placing orders that all members, connected to the company account,  can see).   I am going to move forward with closing this thread.   Let me know if you need anything else.

    Regards,

    Faye

  • Hi Faye

when I go to that link I get to a screen that shows a company account

This is when I am logged on with my apparently personal account (I've only created 1 account) but I can see no way to access this account other than to view it on the screen shown here.

    regards

    Gary

  • Gary,

    Just want to confirm something....

    * to create the company account, it requires a lot of details;  (payment info, shipping, billing info, etc...).  Will you be able to provide these details in order to complete this process (even for test orders, this is needed)?  Because, access to the APIs require a company account and a checkout profile.      So, I didn't want to waste your time in doing this, if you can't provide all of these details.  Doesn't mean you are placing an order, but, API access is dependent on these things.

  • Hi

yes I have all those details and I've created a checkout profile with these

  • Gary,

I'm also looking at our logs and it shows that you are now successfully ordering product (except when you reach the limit you can purchase).  I'm going to close this thread, but please respond back if there is anything else you need help with.

  • HI

I've not placed any orders, I don't even have an API key, the options you mentioned earlier still are not visible on my account; please advise
