TI-API: Test Subscription Message returns I/O error: PKIX path building failed

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a store inventory subscription, but when I send the generate test notification request it returns the message below and the end point receives nothing.

Response Message:

"message": "I/O error on POST request for \[configured URL]\": PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target; nested exception is javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target"

Any help would be greatly apricated.

Hi Ben,

Can you check that your server has deployed a complete certificate chain with all of the necessary intermediate certificates? The error you're seeing can be a symptom of an incomplete chain.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your reply, I have check the certificate chain on serval SSL checker sites and non have found any issues.

We're still looking into this, and agree that the certificate chain does seem fine. I'll be back in touch tomorrow.

Hi Ben,

We've made a configuration change that is allowing inventory notifications to reach your endpoint. Your endpoint is blocking our requests, though, with 405 Method Not Allowed responses, but now you should be able to troubleshoot the setup on your side without wondering if you're getting anything from us.
