[FAQ] DS90UB947-Q1: Tolerance of Target voltage for MODE_SEL

Hi Team

My Customer is asking how much tolerance 947device has for Mode_sel.

now my customer wants to set #5 for mode_sel1

but they only has 82Kohm PU/100Kohm PD. so ratio would be 0.549. but recommended ratio is 0.560.

so customer is asking if their configuration is OK.

Could you pls help answer this to customer??

Hello Harry,

Unfortunately these values will not work. The accepted range is min=0.555 ... max=0.5649

Where the customer's ratio is 0.5495 which is below the minimum accepted.

my customer told me that register (0x4f bit7) for mapping show 1'b0 even they set mode#1(MAPSEL:0 / Coax : 0)

Mapsel0 should bring OLDI mapping but register shows SPWG mapping.

Could you pls check this as well?

Hello Harry,

This is a known documentation issue. The bit positions are flipped in the reg map.
