Hi, there

I am wonderring if DS125DF111EVM could lock and recovery 3G-SDI or even 12G-SDI signal?

From data sheet, it reads that DS125DF111 could lock from 9.8 to 12.5Gbps and subrate data. In this case, if Group 1=12Gbps divide ratio=4, so it could lock 12/4=3Gbps SDI data (from HDMI-SDI converter)?

Please advise how to set the CDR.

The DS125DF111 CDR can lock to these SDI rates. See datasheet table below.

The CDR rate may be programmed manually via channel registers 0x60 thru 0x64. Refer to the datasheet for details.

Thank you very much. I set Group 0=9.8304G Group1=12.288 (table 12) and Divide ratio as 2/4 according to table 9. I have error free input 3Gbps input (Vpp=120mV) just for testing purpose. However the colck can not be locked.

Could you please advise what might be the reason?

Try disabling the retimer Single Bit Transition (SBT) check by setting channel register 0x0C[3]=0.

Hi,

I tried setting 0x0C[3]=0. but that didnot help. Channel signal was detected but CDR cannot lock . Input was 3Gbps erro free eye Vpp=400mV.

12.288G/4 = 3.072G. Please set the input signal to the retimer to this exact frequency.
