DP83848H: Pins Usage Consult

Customer plans to use our DP83848 to replace RTL8211. They want to check whether below pins of DP83848 must be used in AM3352 platform, the pin names are listed below:

39 RX_DV

40 CRS_DV

41 RX_ER

42 COL/PHYAD0

Hi Stanley,

It looks like the RTL8211 is a gigabit PHY that supports 10/100/1000Mbps. The DP83848 only supports 10/100Mbps. If your customer is interested in a Gigabit ethernet PHY we recommend looking into the DP83867 and DP83869.
