DS90UB934-Q1: GPIO mapping when 2 cameras are connected

Part Number: DS90UB934-Q1

Hi Team,

Judging from the Fig 12 of the datasheet, DS90UB934-Q1 (as well as 914) can be used as a switch to select input source between 2 cameras A and B.

Suppose that Camera A is selected - does GPIO of the 934 is mapped to Camera A? Or is it also effective with Camera B as well?

Best Regards,
Masaru Oinaga

  • Hi Masaru,

When you select Camera A, the Forward Channel and Back Channel to the selected RX Port is enabled. The other RX Port is automatically disabled. Your GPIO configurations on the 934 will be applied to the current established connection.

If you are connected to Camera A and then switch to Camera B, the GPIO configurations on the 934 will not change. If the GPIO configurations on the connected 913A/933 serializers are different, then you would need to change the GPIO configurations on the 934 to match after each switch.
