LMH0302: Use LMH0302 as a video driver with 75 ohm input and output?

Part Number: LMH0302
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH0397

Can I use LMH0302 to drive a cable when the input is a singled ended 75 ohm input?  Leave SDI# floating or terminate it with a 75 ohm to ground?  Thanks!

  • Hi Tran,

I see two issues with your approach:

1). LMH0302 input is differential 100-ohm or single ended 50-ohm input.

2). LMH0302 is like a buffer or 75-ohm driver. It does not clean up any non-ideality due to signal integrity issues on its input. Therefor you would not get a clean signal on it's input. I don't know your application but you can use LMH0397 to receive from 75-ohm signal and transmit out on 75-ohm output as well.

    Regards,, Nasser
