MAX3232: MAX3232IDBR: Test Clip suggestion

Unfortunately the package sizes between the SSOP and SOIC are significantly different when it comes to the length of the package body. 

Can you elaborate on what you mean by a test clip though?

Hi Hackett,

Yeah, We cannot use a SOIC test clip for SSOP package. An IC test clip or IC clamp provides easy access to IC leads for probing or for other testing activities without the need for soldering wires on IC pins.

I can ask our test and validation team if they have a part number for a socket that the SSOP package would work in. I'll get back to this thread when I get a response.

I was able to find this socket in our Altium environment showing other TI engineers have used it. Let me know if this works.
