AM26LV32: Pull up voltage

Hi team,

Is it OK to use 5V pull up voltage for RS-422 receivers like AM26LV32 or DS26LV32 as shown below?

Does this have any effect on communication?

Why the current doesn't flow through +5V -> R1 -> +3.3V?

The recommended operating conditions allow the common-mode input voltage to go up to 5.5 V. There is no low-impedance current path to VCC.
