Hello Experts,

How to design for AC coupling when HD3SS3212-Q1 for DRD application? AC coupling should place between device and USB Type-C connector, correct?

    AC coupling requirement is separate from the DRD application. For AC coupling, please refer to Figure 4, 5, 6, and 7 for the different placement option. 

    I would place the AC coupling cap between the HD3SS3212 and the Type-C connector as long as the source common mode voltage is between 0-2V.

    AC coupling caps on TX is typically 0.1uF or 0.22uF. AC coupling caps on RX is optional 0.33uF.
