TCA9803: What if power on the device power domain side is down?

Part Number: TCA9803

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Will the TCA9803 be suitable for our customers application below?

"Looking for an I2C buffer with one I2C port in, and one I2C port out! The one on the left side is connected to the I2c host (and a few I2c devices) powered by one power domain. Output port (i2c on the right side) is connected to an I2C device powered by an isolated power domain. There is a user case that this isolated power domain can be turned off while the other domain remains on. In this case, we would like I2C host and I2C devices on the left side to be operational like normal. In other word, power down on one side (right side) do not hold down the bus on the left side"

Will TCA9803 be the right part for this application, or would you recommend another i2C buffer/repeater part?

Thanks and regards,

Art
