TRS3243E: can the used pins be left float?

Part Number: TRS3243E

Customer was using TRS3243ECPWR, and would like to check how to deal with the unused pins, including Rin3~Rin5、Rout3~Rout5、Din1 and Dout. Can they leave them float? The FORCEON and FORCEOFF are pulled up to 3.3V.

  • Hi Aki,

The unused device output signals mentioned (Rout3~Rout5 and Dout) can be left floating. All unused Rin signals mentioned (Rin3~Rin5) are each tied to internal 5 kΩ pull-down resistors, so they can be left floating as well. Din1 is the only signal mentioned that cannot be left floating (this is the case for Din2 and Din3 as well). Din1 needs to be connected to an external pull-up or pull-down resistor in order to bias it.

    Best,
