Dear Interface team,

My customer is working on BMS for E-scooter. In the design, they used our TCAN1042DQ1 which the lead time of the device is too long (>35 weeks). The customer is rush in their MP schedule, can you help us to find a similar (replaceable) part/device with shorter lead time to meet their MP schedule. (Please note that the device is not required automotive standard)

    Hi Eric,

    Unfortunately, the lead-time will likely be long for these suggested devices as well. I don't have direct access to this information for your customer, so I will list some options for consideration. 

    TCAN1042  (Q1 or non-Q1) - Standby function
    TCAN1044A(Q1 or non-Q1) - cost optimized version of TCAN1042
    TCAN1051  (Q1 or non-Q1) - Silent function 
    TCAN1057A (Q1 or non-Q1) - cost optimized version of TCAN1051

    If these are still not available in the correct timeframe, they may also consider some older CAN devices such as SN65HVD26x or a 3.3V supplied CAN like SN65HVD23x. However, switching to these may require more significant redesign of the CAN implementation.
