TIC12400-Q1: Minimum Voltage Requirement for 3V Comparator Threshold (Both TIC12400-Q1 and TIC10024-Q1)

Hirata-san,

When using the device with 3V detection, 5.5V VS is necessary. This is because there needs to be a minimum of 1.5V operating headroom between the VS voltage and the voltage level on the input that is trying to be detected.  If the VS supply is too close to the input voltage, the input voltage will be compressed due to this lack of headroom and the voltage seen by the Mux or ADC will be smaller than normal.  

Does this make sense?

You can see this illustrated in the datasheet Typical Curves section. There are various plots that show it in terms of min/max ADC code levels and change in the input resistance.

I'm not sure I understood your second point. Can you elaborate?
