DP83826I: Please inquire about the guaranteed temp of DP83826I.

Part Number: DP83826I
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83826E

Dear team,

Hello, I am reviewing the operating temperature related part to try the DP83826I Phy Chip.
I want to ask you a few questions.

1. In the DP83826I datasheet, the operating temperature is specified as -40 to 85 degrees. Does this mean the ambient temperature that can be operated in the -40 to 85 degree environment?

2. What is the condition of setting Operating Ambient Temp to -40 to 85 degrees? For example, is it simply the temperature of the environmental chamber? Or is it the temperature around the Phy Chip? If the temperature around the Phy Chip, how far away from the Phy Chip is the reference?

3. Junction Temp was provided in the DP83825 datasheet I used before, but in the case of DP83826I, only Ambient Operating Temp exists.

Currently, the temperature test for our IC Chip is done as follows.

a. Measure the Case Temp (Tc) of the IC chip by using a mobile corder.

b. Then, using the measured case temp, calculate the junction temp of the IC chip. (The measured IC chip is not in an open state like EVM, but is assembled in its own product.)

The Ambient Operating Temp shown in DP83826I cannot be used to perform a guaranteed temperature test. So I would like to inquire.

I want a Junction Temp to ensure the DP83826I's operability. Or is there a guaranteed Case Temp (Tc)?

I always appreciate your replies.
