DP83TG720R-Q1: change from RJ45 Gigalane to the 1000Base-T

my original design is MCU RGMII connect to rtl8211fs for IEEE 802.3ab.(Giga Lan)

if new product want to change to 1000Base-T with SPE connecter.

so my new design is change phy to DP83TG720R-Q1 and use SPE connecter.

should I change my MCU FW?

or is there any thing I should concern

Hello Dmitry Chen,

The RTL8211 and the DP83TG720R-Q1 devices have different functions and configurations.

The MCU FW needs to be updated.

I am focus on RGMII / MDC signal , are they the same as IEEE 802.3ab?

and do you have driver for DP83TG720R-Q1

Hello Dmitry Chen,

The DP83TG720R-Q1 device is an IEEE 802.3bp and Open Alliance compliant automotive Ethernet physical layer transceiver.

Have you done the schematics and what host are you using.

Please let mw know what drivers are you looking for for me to check.
