Hi Team

I got an issue about TUSB3410.

During use, sometime happen terminal message interrupt. When it's happen, we need use re-connect with terminal tool or sometime need unplug USB cable then can continued display message.

It's something wrong with HW design? Or SW can be solved this issue.

Test condition as below

Terminal tool : Tera Term

PC is windows 7 SP1

Driver version v6.7.4.0

Linux version : sonic 201803

Uart signal source : Intel process atom Denverton.

Would double check the 3.3V power when this issue occurs? Is there a particular message or size of message that triggers the UART to not function? During this issue does the TUSB3410 remain connected to the host USB bus?

When this issue occurs, I can heart USB unplug system sound(windows default setting)

Hi James,

If you can hear a "USB unplug" then I suspect that power may drop out during the issue. Can you check power rails of TUSB3410 during the issue? TUSB3410 will not disconnect itself during normal operation.

OK, I'll check power rail when this issue happen, but I want to know when the chip power saving mode is activated or deactivated.

Hi James,

TUSB3410 can only be directed to low power (suspend mode) by the USB Host. This mode will not cause a USB disconnect.

Hi Malik

I have few question.

1. The TUSB3410 driver is 6.7.4.0. Is this support WIN10 32bits OS??

2. The UART side not support flow control(FC) by design. If turn on flow control with terminal tool, the terminal message stop will occur .

3.If turn off FC with terminal tool, the system will happen usb com port unplug then plug situation.(On contol panel)

Hi James,

1. TUSB3410 driver should support 32 bit OS.

2. IF design does not support flow control then it should not be enabled since certain pins are not driven.

3. If a USB disconnect occurs then i suspect there is some power droop or reset signal sent to TUSB3410. This behavior has not been seen before.
