THVD1510: Is SN75HVD3082E compatible alternate?

Our customer is using the THVD1510D on their product but it is currently out of stock. Now, they are looking for possible alternate and they want to know if the SN75HVD3082EDR would be compatible?

THVD1510D has better ESD protection, while both devices are similar function wise. Here is a comparison table.

One question, our customer wants to know your input on using THVD1505DR as a direct replacement for THVD1510D. Is this feasible and better than using the SN75HVD3082EDR?

Cedrick,

THVD1505DR has the polarity free feature (A and B wires can be connected either way). There is some difference on functionality to THVD1510. I think it's better to use SN75HVD3082E, which is direct replacement.
