DS90UB953-Q1: Mode selection of UB953 paired with UB954 CSI-2 non-synchronous clocking mode

Hi All

Based on the descriptions in datasheet of UB953 and UB954 shown below screenshots.

Which UB953 mode should be select to pair with UB954 CSI-2 non-synchronous clocking mode the UB953 use the csi-2 clock for a reference?

Seemed that no UB953 mode strap option means that FPD-link3 clock reference derived from CSI-2 clock.

Hello Ted,

953 Non-Synchronuous CSI-2 CLK Mode is not supported. This is a typo in the datasheet and will be removed in the next revision.

Nevertheless, you have 3 Clocking Modes which can be used:

1- CSI-2 Synchronous Mode where the REFCLK comes from the DES over the back channel

2- CSI-2 Non-Synch Mode with External Clock connected to SER CLKIN oin

3- CSI-2 Non-Synch Mode with Internal Clock of the SER.
