Hi sir,

May I know what is the eye height and eye width needed to make the signal operate normally?

Please refer to below, host(CPU) sends out the signal, the measurement location is close to point B

Besides, as we know TUSB216 supports higher driver capability, does the eye height and eye width needed the same with TUSB211?

Hi.

For complaint USB 2 operation the signal must pass a eye diagram test. Eye mask represents signal requirement and can be found in the USB 2 spec, 7.1.2.2 High-speed Signaling Eye Patterns and Rise and Fall Time.

Based on 7.1.2.2, could you confirm that what’s template(5,6 or others) should we follow up if we detect at the receiver side?

Hi.

The most relevant here are Template 1 for the Std. A connector setup, this is know as the near end eye (as measured at TP2). Template 4 is the far end eye diagram measured at TP3 (in between TUSB211 and the BMC). Template 6 is used measuring directly at the BMC (TP4).
