Hi Expert, 

We are using 18M SPI bus to interface the TCAN4550. We found the speed is low. Is there any tunning guide?  We will give more details about speed.

    Hi Peter, 

    The Software User's Guide for this device, found here, has a section on software optimization tips. This shows examples of reducing SPI idle time, advantages of burst reads and writes, and bulk reading incoming CAN messages. All of these tips increase SPI data throughput by reducing the amount of non-data information passed through the SPI interface. 

    Unfortunately there is no way to increase the maximum SPI rate for this device as it is dependant on the 40Mhz clock frequency. We are working on addressing this SPI throughput limitation with devices currently in development.
