TPS25750EVM: Battery Charging Limited to 0.2A

I'm currently using TPS25750EVM and the TPS25750 Application Customization Tool to charge a 1S battery. Using the tool, I set the charge voltage and current to 4.2V and 1.28A respectively. For some reason, the charge current is always limited to ~0.2A. I see that other people are having similar issues and they were able to get this working with v7.0.1 of the tool. I tried looking for this version using the following link (https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/1769824/TPS25750_Application_Customization_Tool/ver/7.0.1) but this link doesn't work - I just see "Sorry! We couldn't find your page" after I click on this link. Could you please help me resolve this issue?

You should be able to use the link exactly as you have seen. I have seen some issues , but the timeout has not lasted for me. You may have tried to access when a test build for the patch was being loaded which can cause this issue.

This is a bug in the GUI/Firmware interface that we have been able to confirm today.

I am working on a fix currently an will update you as soon as I have the fix tested and properly implemented.

You should always be able to use the version number in the link to get a specific version of the tool. I have noticed that if we are doing a test upload which is happening frequently as we debug this issue, you may have connectivity issues while we are working. Several customers reported this to me yesterday.

Is v7.0.1 available to all customers?

You will see an intermittent failure to see the 7.01 GUI because we are working behind the scenes to test a 7.03 version that fixes the bugs introduced in 7.02. For some reason, this is causing certain customers to have access issues. You should always be able to access any version of the GUI by changing the version number in your link.

I see. Do you know when v7.0.3 will be available? Also, is there a workaround if I can't use v7.0.1? It seems like v7.0.1 won't be available for me until v7.0.3 is released.

7.01 should still be available. I will check with the developer tomorrow to see what is going on with your issue.

I am testing 7.03 tomorrow, so I am hoping for a release by Wednesday of this week.

I confirmed with our Web GUI developer that we only supply one revision of the GUI at a time to user's.

I am working with him on how to get you a rev 7.01 release that is useful to you.
