Hi, 

Does TCAN1145-Q1 support wake up by CAN FD frame?

Do we have any CAN devices that wake up by CAN FD frame in the portfolio?

    Hi Chris,

    No, partial networking does not support wake on CAN FD frames. See this previous thread for more info.

    Hi Eric,

    For normal wake up mode(not partial networking), whether TCAN114x can be wake up by general CAN FD wake up pattern(ISO 11898-2:2016 Wake Up Pattern)? If yes，what is the difference between WUP in CAN FD and normal CAN？

    Hi Terry,

    Yes, TCAN114x can also support wake up patterns (WUP). This works for both CAN and CAN FD frames because it is only dependant on wake filter timings which will be satisfied during the nominal bit-time of either frame type.Figure 10-12 on the TCAN114x datasheet shows this behavior well. Keep in mind that the arbitration phase of a CAN frame will look the same for both classic and CAN FD frames (this portion uses the nominal bit rate, not the data bit rate).
