Dear all,

This is Chris. Recently my customer met a question on jitter screen and they have set link error count of DS90UB948-Q1 from the default value to the maximum value.

But they worry about whether the value will lead some new problem.

Therefore, I hope you can give me some suggestion on the recommended value of link error count.

It would be better that you can give an evaluation on the potential problem, if we set link error count as the maximum value.

        Are you talking about CRC error count or LOCK drop count? To be more explicit can you just give the register address and whether you are talking about CRC errors? Yes, in general, if there is a simple pixel error, you would not notice it on a display. So if you set the part to lose LOCK for a single bit error, then the part will ose lock and the display will show a black screen and will negatively impact user experience. So in a noisy environment, the cuctomer can increase the error threshold to maximum so they dont keep seeing black screens but this is really a decision that the customer needs to take
