TUSB216: TUSB216, the problem with the eye diagram measurement

Part Number: TUSB216
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB212,

Our original material uses TUSB212. After changing the PIN to PIN to TUSB216, the eye diagram test becomes very poor. Checking the specifications shows that the power supply specifications are different, but the jumper is changed to 5V. The eye diagram test of TUSB216 has not improved. The motherboard design is 3.3V power supply, and the eye diagram test effect under 3.3V power supply needs to be solved

  • Hi Xiaoling,

Can you check the CD and HS_ENA pins during the eye diagram test?  It sounds like the TUSB216 is not enabled.  The TUSB216 added some features to prevent unexpected entry to active mode and it can prevent the TUSB216 from entering the test mode properly (actual HS operation works as expected).  There are very specific instructions in the datasheet  (section 8.2.2.1) , can you try that?

    Thanks,

    JMMN
