TUSB7340: Request 24c08 default setting[Wistron]

Yes, our TUSB7340 hub need an EEPROM 24c08 outside, so the TUSB7340 register setting should in the EEPROM 24c08?

I understand now, TUSB7340 does not require a EERPOM for default use. If customer would like to change setting (ex. mark one port as USB 2 only) then EEPROM is required. 

Also TUSB7340 is a USB Host controller not a USB hub. If customer is looking for a USB Hub TUSB8044A or similar device should be used.

This is Wistron EE Brian, need TI support about TUSB7340 EEPROM .bin setting.

our project TUSB7340 need Port1 as USB2 only and no overcurrent function need (as below schematic):

TUSB7340  EEPROM .bin register setting is about USB speed /overcurrent function we need to change?

Hi Brian,

MY previous message was incorrect. Ports can be marked non-removable but not UB 2 only. Leaving USB 3 interface floating is allowed. Overcurrent reporting does not need to be indicated but should be implemented per USB spec.
