ESD321: alternatives

Hello,

We are having trouble sourcing the ESD321DPYR. Are there any pin to pin or similar alternatives that have more stock for us to pivot to?

    Hello Adam,

    Two good alternatives to ESD321DPYR would be either ESD351DPYR and TPD1E04U04DPYR. Both are single channel 3.6 V unidirectional diodes and P2P compatible. According to ti.com, it looks like TPD1E04U04 is the only part currently in stock, and it is only available in a tape instead of a reel (TPD1E04U04DPYT).

    Another option could be to use a bidirectional diode instead of a unidirectional one. The main drawback would be that it would offer less protection in the event of a negative ESD strike compared to a unidirectional diode. TPD1E1B04DPYT would be a good replacement if you were to choose this option, and it has much more stock than TPD1E04U04DPYT. 

    Would either of these options be sufficient?
