Hi team,

Is there any standard, or recommendation on the clearance width between the below lines? For example, twice the width of the trace?

RMI and RMI
RMI and other signal line
RMI and GND
Other signal line (not RMI) and GND

Hi Kurumi,

For any controlled impedance line, we recommend at least 3x the width of the trace to GND. It is difficult to keep RMII lines 3x the width from other RMII lines due to the nature of the layout from the PHY and MAC pin placement perspective, but you will again see best crosstalk performance if keeping 3x the width of the trace distance from other lines, though this is not a hard requirement. You may refer to the EVM as an example.
