TL16C550C: Difference between the TL16C550CFN and TL16C550AFN

Good day.

Our customer would like to know the difference between the TL16C550CFN and TL16C550AFN. Can you please help us with this? Thank you.

    Cedrick,

    Unfortunately, the TL16C550AFN has been obsolete since 2001. But taking a quick look at the old datasheet, I can provide a few main differences between the two devices. 

    The active TL16C550CFN device can operate both with 5V and 3.3V nominal voltages, while TL16C550AFN can only operate at 5V nominal. Across the board, the timing parameters for TL16C550CFN are also faster than the TL16C550AFN.
