TUSB217A-Q1: Unable to perform CDP handshake

TUSB217ARWB BC1.2 controller is always enabled, so we should measure DCP/CDP voltage at POR. Lets also ensure Vcc is stable and RSTN is pulled high during operation. Can I review your schematic?

Thank you for your swift reply.

I forgot to mention that we are using a prototype version of TUSB217A-Q1 with RGY package, not the commercial RWB. This version should be p2p compatible with TUSB217-Q1. However I'm unsure of where the DCP/CDP pin has been placed in this version.

Vcc is stable at 3.3 V and I assert RSTN manually after power-up (3.3 V too).

HS signal conditioning works fine, so I would potentially exclude power supply-related issues.

I see, can you try grounding pin 3 in the RGY package and toggle RSTN/power?

I grounded pin 3 and toggled RSTN but the behaviour of the device remains the same. I can see a spike on D+ upon connection of a mobile phone but afterwards both D+ and D- remain at 0 V.

I then tried grounding pin 2 with no success.

Are you using a TI EVM or custom board? If you are using a customer board can I review the schematic? 

I am using a custom board. The booster schematic is below. D2P/D2M come from the OTG1 port of iMX8 microcontroller and D1P/D1M go to an external connector. Logic is 3.3 V and DNF components are not mounted. As mentioned before, The booster model is now TUSB217A-Q1

Can you remove the cap on pin 8? I want to ensure that pin biased to Vcc at POR. You are connecting the phone after TUSB217A POR correct? Lets keep pin 3 grounding during this test. 

Just to clarify, pin 8 needs to be pulled low when the TUSB217A exits reset.
