TCAN1043-Q1: Maximum limit for CL(RXD)

Part Number: TCAN1043-Q1

Hello team,

In the TCAN1043-Q1 datasheet there are the some description that CL(RXD)=15pF.

Are there any maximum limit for the CL(RXD) from the TCAN1043-Q1 point of view?

Thank you.

Regards,

Hirata

  • There is no limit on the capacitance itself. But if it is larger than 70 pF, it might be possible that the IO(LOGIC) absolute maximum rating is exceeded when the output is switching. (If you actually have such a large capacitance, a series resistor will limit the current.)

The capacitance of CMOS inputs is typically much smaller than 10 pF. The CL(RXD) test condition is specified only because it affects the rise/fall time.

  • Thanks for your prompt and detailed answer Clemens-san!

    I appreciate your support.
