DS26F31MQML-SP: RS485/422 driver selection

Hello,

I am looking for a rad hard RS422/485 driver. Some of the alternatives don’t have TID ratings in the brochure I have, so I don’t know which one to choose. Does it really matter since they are bipolar based?

 

I am aiming for 50krad TID, though I can deal with the space enhanced plastic around 20-30 krad if it helps with lead times. Any advice on what would work best?

    Adam,

    National did not release a radiation qualified version of the DS96F174/5, and unfortunately I don't have the history on that decision.

    The DS196F174/5 have received TID testing at low dose rate and passed 100 krad, if you email me directly at e-hackett@ti.com I can share some test reports with you, as well as share more information about alternative devices available.

    Since the rest of this thread will be handled through email, I'll be closing this thread now.
