TPS65988: TPS65988 Issue

Hi  team：

     To read the same Type C cable, refer to pages 363 and 373 of the document "Universal Serial Bus Type-C Cable and Connector Specification Release 2.0 August 2019".

ID Header (VDO1) and Cable VDO (VDO4) are the data content of SOP' (0x49 RX Identity SOP' Register).

 

      The ID Header read by TPS65988EVM is the same as that of another USB IC, which is 0x180019FF.

According to ID Header (0x180019FF), 27-29 bits are 011, which should be Passive Cable.

      But Cable VDO is different. The Cable VDO of TPS65988EVM is 0x00082FD2, and the other USB IC is 0x00082842.

  1. For Cable VDO (0x00082FD2) of TPS65988EVM,9~10 bits are 11, should it be 00?
  2. The Cable VDO (0x00082842) of another USB IC is correct. Is there a problem with the TPS65988EVM setting?
