Hi Stanley,
Can you provide more information about the customer use case? Specifically, what protocol and data rate are they using this device for and what SMBus mode are they using?
Thanks,
Drew
Hi Drew:
Below is the detailed application:
Date rate :SAS3.0 ,6 channel; Device Functional Modes:Slave SMBus Mode(ENSMB = 1)

Hi Stanley,
I think the best part for replacement would be DS125MB800A. These devices are very similar, but it is possible that the customer may need to use a slightly different register configuration.
Specifically, pin 21 on DS125BR800A is a mode pin while on DS125BR820 this is a reserved pin. It may be necessary to adjust for this by either using the appropriate pullup resistor or SMBus register settings. Please see the following excerpt from the datasheet.
Please keep in mind that you will want to use DS125MB800A in linear mode. I also noticed that the EQ Control register in the datasheet varied between the parts, so it may be necessary to use different EQ Control values.
Thanks,
Drew
