DS90UB935-Q1: FPD3_RX_IDx Register (0xF0 - 0xF5)

Part Number: DS90UB935-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB953-Q1

Hello together,
what are the registers 0xF0 - 0xF55 for? Is the value inside fixed and will it be in future versions of the DS90UB935-Q1? Can it be used for indentification of the IC and why the registers show "_UB953" instead of "_UB935" when read out?

  • Hello Christian,

The value in those regs is fixed and since the device is a spin of the DS90UB953-Q1 product which basically goes through a different production test flow, the 935 also reads back 953 in those ID registers as well. In general though, the ID regs are designed to help identify which device is being used such as 953, 960, 954, etc.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
