PCF8574: Is there any difference between PCF8574DWR production batches in 2015 and 2021？

Hi, support team

My customer has the questions as follow:

Is there any difference between PCF8574DWR production batches in 2015 and 2021？

Our board products can work normally when we use PCF8574DWR's 2015 batch,
But it cannot work with the 2021 batch.
After 2015 batch is changed back, the board can work normally.
(We bought 2015 batch from distributor and 2021 batch from TI website.)

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention. There was a PCN for these devices sent in 2016, and the summary of the change is some materials in the assembly of the devices changed to meet demands of the world, and to optimize assembly at TI's various A/T sites. This change shouldn't affect the performance of the device in a way that would change any function or feature of the IC.

    Can you elaborate a bit on the test/measurement you're performing where the device prior to 2015 works, but the 2021 device does not?
