TPS6598X-CONFIG: Need version 6.1.1

Part Number: TPS6598X-CONFIG

Hi.  I need to download some customer legacy design bit files and using the latest GUI build V6.1.2 fails to program and verify the Flash SPI PROM.  The project file reports build version of 6.1.1 and we cannot rebuild it to 6.1.2, nor do we have access to the machine on which the 6.1.1 GUI tool was installed, so we need a loadable copy of the V6.1.1 GUI config tool.   TI does not seem to have a download archive (bad idea), and Wayback Machine saved the link page to 6.1.1 but didn't save the actual download link/file as the GUI tool download requires authorization.

  • Hi Rick,

I think V6.1.2 can open the .pjt file which is generated from V6.1.1. However both version cannot support 98xDJ, they can only support 98xDH, not sure if you use the DJ device?

    Thanks.

  • The design uses a DDJ in one position and DDH in another.  Are you saying the 6.1.2 cannot support DDJ?  6.1.1 must be able to support DDJ since the .pjt file was originally built under 6.1.1.

We solved the immediate problem temporarily by not using the TPS6598X-CONFIG utility but through a separate SPI Flash programming tool (Aardvark) and reading/copying the two flash bin files from a working board.  Not the most elegant approach but we are now at least moving past the dead-stop that arose from the inability of 6.1.2 to import projects built under 6.1.1
