SN65LVDS250: 1:4 LVDS Switch?

Hi Experts,

My customer is looking for 1:4 LVDS switch. The first candidate is SN65LVDS250 but it supports four input. We are looking for any best device.

In above use-case, we do not need 2A/2B, 3A/3B and 4A/4B. We need DE pin for Y/Z side. Due to small PCB size, they want to reduce pin counts of unused pin. Smaller PKG version might be good.

Could you please recommend any device?

Hi Uchikoshi-san,

Unfortunately we do not have a dedicated 1:4 LVDS mux. A device like DS10BR254 or DS25BR204 may work. There devices are 1:4 LVDS repeaters that can power-down there outputs via control pins.

Thank you for your answer. Customer needs to power-down each output individually so DS10BR254 or DS25BR204 cannot be used.

I am considering to propose single LVDS buffer and 1:4 multiplexer. How do you think?

Hi Uchikoshi-san,

I think this kind of solution can work. Both components would need to be placed after most of the transmission media.
