TCA9536: TCA9536

Part Number: TCA9536

Hello Sir,

We would like to use TCA9536 in our design for I2C-GPIO expansion. It will share the I2C bus with one on-board EEPROM. Please help on the questions below.

1. The expanded 4 GPIOs (P0-P3) will be always in output state to configure external SP10T switch only. In this application, will the INT(interrupt) be asserted or triggered in some condition? Could it be just simply used as P3 (bit3)? We don't have spare IOs from SoC to handle the interrupt.

2. If there is another pair of expander(+switch) that is to be connected to the same I2C instance, we could use TCA9536A, TCA9536B or TCA9536C  to diffrentiate the I2C address, am I right?

Thanks in advance!
