Hi Team, 

My customer is performing BER test and MSE measurement to check link quality of DP83TD510E. Customer have following questions, could you kindly help? Thanks.

1. According to this material, SNR can be derived from MSE. Customer wants to know how do TI judge link quality from SNR. That is, why link quality is good if SNR>20.38 and link quality is poor if SNR<17.29? 

2. Can we derive SNR from BER? That is, is there any relationship between BER and SNR? If yes, what is the formula?
