TMUXHS4412: Common mode voltage

Hi Team,

We have received this inquiry from our customer regarding the TMUXHS4412,

In the datasheet the common-mode voltage for the 1.8V and 3.3V is different.
Whether this common-mode voltage is used for the MUX internal circuitry. or it will affect the super-speed lines also.
If it affects the Superspeed lines. How it is affected.

it will affect superspeed line. output signal becomes distorted or non-linear if input signal exceeds CM spec.

According to our customer,

Below attached is the LVDS specification of the FPGA.
In this case could you please tell me for the proper working of the super speed lines , what should be the MUX supply voltage 1.8V or 3.3V

Are you going to use the input or output of Intel LVDS IO? or both?

Mux should be 3.3v.

Hi Brian,

According to our customer.

I will use the LVDS signals for the USB application.
So input and output.
So shall I proceed with 3.3V Supply for the MUX

Yes, need 3.3v for mux.

if signal <700Mbps, Vcm is 1.85v, you may need to biase the signal to 1.8v.

or customer can use HD3SS3415 if data rate <10Gbps, it's Vcm is 2v.
