We are planning to feed LVDS signals to this device. The datasheet states that the inputs are LVPECL/LVDS. However, only the DC characteristics of LVPECL are given in the datasheet (page 3). The voltage thresholds do not meet LVDS standards. For example, input low voltage is stated to be between 1.355V and 1.675V but it is around 1V for LVDS.
On the contrary, in the AC characteristics table, the input swing is defined from 150mV to 1200mV. LVDS meets this requirement as it provides a 350mV swing.
If we connect the LVDS signals directly into the inputs of this device, will there be a problem? or do we have to AC couple and bias the signals?
