If there are few pins which are not used and connected to others, how to deal with that? Connecting to VCC or GND for better noise immunity?

    Unused outputs should be left open.

    In general, unused digital inputs must have a valid logic level, but this device has integrated pull-down resistors. You can connect unused D inputs directly to GND for better noise immunity.

    According to table 2, you can leave unused bus inputs open.
