TCA6424: TCA6424ARGJR x TCA6424RGJR

Part Number: TCA6424

Hi,

We need to know what are the differences between PN TCA6424ARGJR and TCA6424RGJR.

The TCA6424ARGJR is an active device and the PN TCA6424RGJR is an obsolete item.

But are they interchangeable? We need to know if they have the same specifications to use the TCA6424RGJR as an alternate PN in our projects.

Best Regards,

Daniel.

  • The TCA6424 web page says:

TCA6424A is an enhanced version of the TCA6424 with performance enhancements related to Interrupt and Reset.

"Performance enhancements" means that the two errata have been fixed.

  • Daniel,

To add on to what Clemens said, the TCA6424A still has the same functionality as the TCA6424 and are interchangeable from a functional perspective, and if you look at the datasheets, they have the same electrical parameters as well. The customer should be able to use the A version as an alternate part number.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
