Dear team,

My customer uses our TPD4E001-Q1 for 100base-TX PHY. But our device is failed when doing the 15kV air discharge mode(330pF/330R). Can our device support this mode(330pF/330R)? If not, do we have any other recommendation? P2P is best.

Can you clarify if TPD4E001-Q1 is breaking or the PHY is breaking during the 15 kV strike?

Hi Matt,

Our device is broken, and PHY works normally. I noticed that our device can only support 150pF+330ohm discharge network under 15kV strike. But the customer needs 330pF+330ohm discharge network under 15kV which seems to have larger energy. I recommend customer our TPD2E2U06-Q1.

Do we have any document to introduce the difference for different discharge network?

Hi Sherry,

TPD2E2U06-Q1 will definitely be able to survive a 15 kV air gap strike at 300 pF 330 Ohm.
